Mayor James Seeley

A letter from the Mayor

Welcome to the Township of Puslinch. Incorporated in 1850, Puslinch has seen its long time focus on agriculture slowly become a blend with a more rural residential mix over the years.

Puslinch is known as a key commercial/industrial and aggregate extraction area and has a very well established and highly regarded equine industry.

We are bisected by Highway 6 (Brock Road), which was the original settlement road for areas to the North and West. We also have the 401 passing through our Township and this has led to the development of this area as a major transportation hub.

Puslinch is within easy commuting of four major universities, Guelph, Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier and McMaster.

We are one of seven local municipalities that form Wellington County which was recently named the “Safest Community in Canada” by McLean’s magazine. We consider ourselves well served by the Optimist Club of Puslinch and our many volunteer and church groups.

We are proud of our communities, local heritage, busy industrial/commercial sector and welcome visitors from around the world.
